Role of RGUKT in the lives of the poor

RGUKT – Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge and Technologies

--Which is established for catering to the needs of rural gifted youth.

    As I am an RGUKT student myself, getting into IIIT completely changed my life... I belong to a middle-class family and I always wanted to pursue my dream of higher education in a good and safe college but as I came outside or into the society I saw how much it will cost for my family to afford my education, I debated over pursuing my dream or join in a nearer college according to my family income.
 

Then came results for my grade 10 exams and I secured a good GPA and then I heard about IIIT which offers free education to merit students which include pre-university and engineering courses.
 

I asked every educated adult I knew, about this and they said IIIT offers good quality of education and I apply for it. I got the seat and entered into RGUKT, there I came to know about so many things and from PUC only we can learn programming languages and friendly faculty who will guide us through everything, it's infrastructure and well-equipped labs, resourceful library etc...

 

we will be given a laptop from our first year of joining which not any other colleges will give for freeof cost...
 

Every RGUKTian has a story of themselves but in every story, they say RGUKT changed their lives. or they are lucky that they got the seat in RGUKT...

➔ Before the year 2008, a lot of merit listed students from SSC level dropped their education because of not affording such higher studies as per their living conditions...As we know that..private institutions ask donations to get admission into their colleges....this is such a hilarious situation which reminds us that “education is only for those who have money”... To eradicate this, our Honourable chief minister of ANDHRAPRADESH, Dr. late Y.S RAJASHEKAR REDDY sir aimed to the idea of creating the RGUKT. And created this most prestigious university RGUKT with world-class infrastructure and facilities. The proud moment for the parents of Andhra Pradesh is, that their children are studying in the most prestigious universities like RGUKT. This experience gives a trademark and confidence to the youth ..that they are unstoppable at any moment... and a great platform for building their career. To gain knowledge from learning by doing things...

QUALITY OF RGUKT EDUCATION......

➔ To give accountable and reasonable content to all merit students, the government has introduced a "LEARNING BY DOING" system in IIIT.

To provide quality education, digital learning courses with the most talented professors and mentors all over the states have been chosen...All the faculty are either M.Tech graduates or PhD doctorates, free laptops with free internet access
through which can get any materials we need. The exam pattern is based on whole concepts and tests our understanding of what we have learned from the subjects not by blindly following some weightage...

So many graduates from RGUKT have been featured in newspapers like The Hindu, The New Indian Express etc...
some examples of our alumnus,
    “Kolli Meena Kumari, a graduate in civil engineering from the university in 2014, is pursuing PhD in the same course at Philipps-Universitat, Marburg, Germany.”
    “Another alumnus, Mani Kumar Adari of Chintalagraharam village in Visakhapatnam, has been working as a software development engineer in Amazon Web Services AI, Seattle, Washington in the US for the past four years.”

    The above alumnus is featured in The Hindu paper and there are many more who achieved theirdream jobs or pursuing their education without any financial struggles from RGUKT...

I think RGUKT plays a key role in improving or providing better education to gifted rural youth...
